When someone agrees with the court or a bondsman to appear at their trial and cannot pay the court the full amount, they usually find and pay a bondsman’s fee so that the bondsman can put up the full amount to the court on their behalf in order to be released from jail until their court date. If they do not show up for their court date or decide to run, they are considering a ‘skip’ or, in other words, a ‘fugitive’.
What Is A Fugitive?
A fugitive is someone who is actively running and trying to hide from the police, court, or authorities.
